Mercury has been falling in the second capital of the state making the mornings chill. On Sunday for the third consecutive day Nagpur witnessed single digit mercury level with minimum temperature 7.9 degree Celsius.
Nagpur is second coldest while Gondia is coldest with 7.8 degree Celsius in Vidarbha region.
According to Skymet Weather the change in weather condition is due to the Western Disturbance and its induced Cyclonic Circulation.
Experts have advised citizens to dress up appropriately to avoid getting sick in this weather. The effect of cold wave are felt in day and in night as well.
Cold wave conditions are expected to last during this
week and may even extend further in February.
On Sunday, Amrawati recorded 8.8 degree Celsius, Gadchiroli minimum temperature 9.0 degrees Celsius, while Wardha and Brahmapuri recorded 9.4 and Akola recorded 10.1 degrees Celsius of minimum temperature.
