Mango inflorescence changes winter mood to coming summer

The nature indicates changes in seasonal through its inflorescence. Birds and insects involved in pollination also indicate the pattern of crops. The system of predicting the nature of crop was known to our forefathers. Some seniors also understand these indications by forecasting the future crops.

The inflorescence on a mango tree has given a glimpse of coming summer. The chill in the air has not gone completely. But the temperature, both day and night has started increasing.

High number of Butterflies, moths and other insects indicate better crop. Movement of ants also indicate rains, birds like sparrow also foretell rains. These indications have been nicely drafted by old poets. Ghag and Bhaddari are among those who have written in details about these indications.

If you see ants carrying their eggs upwards or sparrow bathing in dust, rains are certain. This is one of the indications mentioned by Ghag and Bhaddari, believed to be about 400 years back.

Ghag was believed to be an expert in the field of agriculture and Baddari was an astrologer and made acute predictions about rains.

Their predictions were based on their own experience and ken observations.

Although the inflorescence on the mango tree indicates early crop, here prediction about the nature of the crop is difficult to predict. This roadside mango plant is of one of the original breed and bears very small size fruits.
