Impact of Anna Hazare’s hunger strike announcement
Budged by the announcement of noted social worker Anna Hazare to stage hunger strike against making available wine in malls and grocery shops, the State Government is likely to review its decision.
Hazare announced his decision to launch hunger strike from February 14, protesting the decision of the State Government to allow sale of wine in grocery shops and malls.
Hazare was instrumental in bringing about several changes in the government decisions. He also helped bringing in the Right to Information Act. A highly respected social worker is sure of getting wide support from the people on his decision to oppose wine sale in malls and grocery shops.
The State Government has decided to review its own decision and has decided to seek opinion of common people on the decision.
