Commissioner of police Amitesh Kumar informed that city police had increased patrolling at locations where citizen footfall is likely to surge on Valentine’s Day.
“We’re beefing up patrols and enforcing strict bans in places where citizens or groups of people are likely to congregate on Valentine’s Day. The activities of antisocial elements will be closely monitored “said the chief of police.
Cops are also prepared for anti-social elements trying to disturb the law and order situation in the city.
“Till now we have not received any information about any anti social element’s planning to disturb the Valentine’s Day situation. But we are fully prepared as such incidents have happened in the past,” added CP Kumar.
Citizens are all set to celebrate Valentine’s Day on Monday, and footfall is likely to increase at several locations such as Futala, Maharajbagh, Ambazari Garden, Telankhedi, Walkers Street and other loca tions where couples can visit.
