‘LIT Startup Katta’ inaugurated
Loksarang Hardas, an alumnus of Laxminarayan Institute of Technology, originally from Nagpur and currently in the US, has donated Rs 1.5 crore to set up infrastructure at LIT Incubation Centre. The Incubation Centre launched at LIT is a very innovative concept and will go a long way in shaping the future of the students. Lokrasang Haradas, founder and CEO of LA’s Totally Awesome, believes that through the ‘Startup Katta’ initiative, students will be able to interact with people who are achieving success in various fields and get ideation from them.
He was speaking on behalf of Laxminarayan Institute of Technology and LITAA (LIT Alumni Association) at the inauguration of LIT Incubation Center’s ‘LIT Startup Katta’ on Friday. The event, held at the Chemical Engineering Auditorium, was attended by his wife Dolly Hardas. LITAA Chairman Madhav Labhe, LIT Director Dr. Raju Mankar, LITAA Secretary Utkarsh Khopkar, Incubation Center Project Director Vinod Kalkotwar, Co-Director Sachin Palsokar, Former Chairman Ajay Deshpande, Mili Juneja and Chinmay Garwe of LITA Youth Forum and Rajesh Malpani of Malpani Group were prominently present.
Amlesh Purohit interviewed Loksarang Hardas. Born into a middle class Marathi family in Nagpur, Loksarang Hardas revealed his journey to America. He recalled his student life at LIT. Explaining that he has learned from every experience in his life, Hardas said that if you want to achieve something in life, you should not limit yourself, learn from mistakes, take advantage of every opportunity, work hard and earn a lot.
Initially, Sachin Palsokar informed about the LIT Startup Katta. Vinod Kalkotwar made introductopry remarks. Dr Sugandha Garwe conducted the proceedings. Vote of thanks was proposed by Director of LIT Dr Raju Mankar.
