The 48th Khajuraho Dance Festival 2022 will kick starts from Sunday, February 20. Renowned artists from across the country will showcase their arts in the week long mega event, which will end on February 26.
A grand stage has been setup near the famous Khajuraho temple site. Ambassador from Vietnam, Lao PDR, Finland, Brunei and Malaysia will also grace the event along with their spouse. For the convenience of tourists to reach Khajurao, SpiceJet on Friday has started flights from Delhi to Khajuraho.
Om Prakash Sakhlecha, Minister MSME along with delegates inaugurated the operation with lighting of lamp. According to officials, H.E Pham Sanh Chau, Ambassador of Vietnam, H.E. Bounneme Chouanghom, Ambassador of Lao PDR, H.E. Ritva Koukku-Ronde, Ambassador of Finland, H.E. Dato Alaihuddin Mohd Taha, High Commissioner of Brunei and H.E. Hamid Abdul Hidayat, High Commissioner of Malaysia will be arriving for the event. Dance festival will be inaugurated by Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai C. Patel. Trained artist will be performing with the temple as the backdrop presents the extract of glorious history and culture.
Apart from showcasing the cultural dance forms, the festival will also have many other events. Which includes, Alankaran, Art-Mart, Nepathya, Hunar Chalchitra, heritage run, water rafting and Bundeli Cuisine along with Chal Chitra.
In the seven day music fest tourists will get an opportunity to live village life. Tourists can book Homestay for rural experiences. Village tour to Madla will allow them to explore real india.
