Games are also important with education for achieving all round development. Through games youths can achieve physical, mental and emotional progress. Therefore NMC has created the facility of playing ground for them in the congested area of Central Nagpur. This young persons from this area can now work hard and bring laurels to the city in sports field, said Nitin Gadkari, Union Transport Minister.
He was speaking after dedicating a play ground in Prabha no: 19, Hansapuri Khadan under Gandhibag zone to the people on Friday evening to mark Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsava. Gadkari kicked a football in Gopalrao Motghare NMC Primary School to mark inauguration of the ground. He also participated in renaming ceremonies of various squares and roads.
Gadkari further said that NMC provided playing grounds for young persons to play there. It has also developed these grounds by providing necessary facilities. NMC also created this ground in the congested area in Central Nagpur so that the youths from this area should have such a facility.
While congratulating Dayashankar Tiwari, Mayor, Gadkari said Tiwari also achieved development in various parts of the city and solved pressing problem of drinking water.
Tiwari gave account of the works completed by him under the leadership of Gadkari. Vikas Kumbhare and Praveen Datke, both Legislators, also expressed their views. Adv Sanjay Balpande gave information about various developmental works done in the Prabhag. Ramakant Gupta conducted the function while Vishal Gaur proposed a vote of thanks.
