Members of Vaidarbhiya Kala Academy displayed painting on 6’x8′ canvas at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, Variety Square, on the the theme of No War – World Peace in the background of ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.
Noted Artist Harihar Pende painted the canvas on pigeon, a symbol of peace, with battle picture.
The canvas kept at the pedestal of Mahatma Gandhi statue extended a message of non-violence and maintaining peace.
Nanu Neware, Secretary of the academy, said that people from art field welcomed this move. Youths passing nearby also took keen interest in the painting.
