Munsar & Ukwa mines for the year 2017 & Chikla mine of MOIL for the year 2019 bagged Winner’s trophy at National Safety Awards in a function held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi for longest accident free period category. Kandri mine stood Runner-up in the same category for the year 2020.
Tirodi Mine for the year 2019 & 2020 and Munsar Mine for the year 2020, bagged Winner trophy for lowest injury frequency rate category however Gumgaon mine stood Runner-up in the same category. Thus MOIL mines bagged a total 8 National Safety Awards.
The award was presented by Union Cabinet Minister of Labour and Employment, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav.
