Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board has successfully hosted “Go Heritage run†in Pench National Park, Seoni, MP. Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board has been a pioneer in introducing and supporting new ideas for promotion of tourism in the state. This premium event has attracted more than 225 tourists from Nagpur, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Jhansi, Agra, Gurugram, Mumbai and Seoni.
The run started from Kipling Court, Pench Gate, and was conducted over three distances i.e. 21 km, 10 km and 5 km. The youngest runner was a 5-year-old girl and the oldest was a 76-year-old man. 21 kilometer run was flag off by Shri. SP Singh, General Manager Operations, MPSTDC, Bhopal and Mr. KL Patel, Regional Manager, MPSTDC, Jabalpur.
Ashok Mishra, Field Director, Pench Forest Department and Shri Lochan Singh of Pench Forest Committee were also present in the event. Many of them shared their experiences with the MPT personnel about their Pench tour and their participation in the Go Heritage Run.
All the participants received a certificate, a T-shirt and a medal. Shri Yuvraj Padole, Deputy Director, Events and Marketing MP Tourism, said, ‘’ The Go heritage run intends to create engaging interactions and aiming to showcase its diverse and rich nature of Pench National park for the purpose of promoting it as a most attractive destination both in National & international Platform. This type of runs and other events has been an opportunity to showcase MP’s inner beauty and versatility. Madhya Pradesh is a bouquet of exotic places, historic marvels, home of wildlife animals and warm hearted people.â€
