Directorate of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra and Nagpur district administration are jointly conducting ‘Ramtek Adventure and Heritage Tourism Festival’ on March 19 and 20, informed district collector R Vimala in a press conference held at Chhattrapati Hall, Collectorate on Tuesday. The festival will be held near Kapur Baoli in Ramtek.
“To promote less known tourist places of Vidarbha among people the Tourism Department is conducting stage wise tourism festivals. After successfully conducting tourism festival in Bodhalkasa recently, the department is going to conduct another festival in Ramtek,†said R Vimala.
Government of Maharashtra formed the Directorate of Tourism in 2019-20 to promote tourism, to identify new tourist places in the state and also to infrastructure development to connect people with new and existing tourist places.
Visitors can experience heritage walk, cycle ride, adventure ride, bird watching, stargazing, lake side trekking, tractor and bullock-cart ride, local food, discussion session etc. during this two-day festival. Cultural programmes will be held in the evening in which local artists will perform. Prashant Sawai, Deputy Director, Directorate of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra was also present during the press conference.
