The strain and stress Nagpurians, who faced for the last two years during Covid 19, were relieved of it during the ‘Hasya Kavi Sammelan’ on Wednesday, as a part of Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav.
Renowned poets not only presented satirical poems, but also of love, valour and issues faced during the lockdown. Padma Shri Surendra Sharma, Padma Shri Dr Surendra Dubey, renowned poets Arun Gemini, Dr Praveen Shukla, Kavita Tiwari, Dr Vishnu Saxena, Dr Madhup Pandey presented their compositions.
Dr Madhup Pandey welcomed all the poets who came from different parts of the nation. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari felicitated them. The programme has been conceptualized by Gadkari and was held after a gap of two years.
Kavita Tiwari presented ‘Sari Dhara tumhare hi geet gaa rahi’ to mark the martyrdom day. And then ‘Savitri na hoti to Styawan ko kaun bachata’ to spell out importance of women in the society.
Jemini from Haryana presented a poem on the issues arising out of Work From Home culture, imposed during the lockdown, including those by the poets. By reciting poems at home the poet gave himself the honorarium, he stated to spread laughter in the audience. He also presented poem on love ‘Har faisala nahi hota sikka uchhal ke’ .
Surendra Dubey from Chhattisgarh spoke about confidence of the people of the region through his poem. He narrated Rakhi Sawant’s marriage being watched by viewers on television through his poem ‘Jab tak sans hai, tab taka as hai’. He also presented satirical poem ‘Ye hasya ka kokda, thahaka ka parinda hai, tension me mat rahna Tiger abhi jinda hai’.
Dr Vishnu Saxena recited poems on love. Praveen Shukla was the anchor.
Besides Gadkari, RSS functionary Bhaiyyaji Joshi, Mahametro MD Brijesh Dixit, industrialist Satyanarauan Nuwal, ex-MLC Girish Vyas, Ramesh Mantri and others were present. Renuka Deshkar conducted the proceedings.
