·     Chandrapur records highest temp at 43.0 C
The temperature in all the 11 districts of Vidarbha region has crossed over 40 degrees C mark on Friday. Mercury is now soaring gradually all over the region.
Gondia had recorded a temperature of 37 degrees C on Thursday, which was lowest in Vidarbha but it jumped to 41.0 degrees C today, a raise by 4 degrees CF in a single day. Yavatmal, Gadchiroli and Nagpur had registered 39 degrees C, 39.4 degrees C and Nagpur 39.6 degrees C respectively yesterday while all other places crossed 40 degrees C mark. Today, not a single district is less than 40 degrees C.
Chandrapur was the hottest place on Friday by registering 43.0 degrees C, closely followed by Akola at 42.9 degrees C, Brahmapuri at 42.3 degrees C, Wardha at 42.2 degrees C and Washim at 42.0 degrees C.
Following are the temperature figures recorded in C at other places in Vidarbha on Friday: Nagpur – 41.8, Yavatmal – 41.5, Amravati – 40.8, Gadchiroli – 40.6, and Buldana – 40.0.
