The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited bids from reputed entities for staging the Closing Ceremony of IPL 2022, through a tender process.
“The detailed terms and conditions governing the tender process including eligibility requirements, process for submissions of bids, rights and obligations, etc. are contained in the ‘Request for Proposal’ (RFP) which will be made available on receipt of payment of a non-refundable fee of INR 1,00,000 (Indian Rupees One Lakh Only) plus any applicable Goods and Services Tax.
With this, the Indian Premier League will end with the closing ceremony after three years.
The idea is to give IPL its colourful closing ceremony back.
According to reports, the IPL 2022 final will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 29.
Earlier editions of IPL 2020 and 2021 were held behind closed doors in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
