Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, who turned into a saviour for many during the devastating Covid-19, has now joined in the “crowdfunding†cause to secure a shot worth Re 16 Crore to save a child.
A 16-month-old Vihaan Akulwar is suffering from a rare Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). The kid has been diagnosed with this rare genetic disorder and the treatment is very costly.
The doctors treating him have prescribed Zolgensma, which costs Rs 16 crores and works only if administered in a timely manner.
So far around Rs 3 crore has been collected however, more fund is required for the treatment. A few kids suffering from SMA, in India have been cured through crowdfunding.
After coming across Akulkwar couple’s bid to save their child through social media, after which actor Sonu Sood decided to extend his help to save their child.
Talking to media Sonu Sood said that we receive maximum requests from internal parts of Maharashtra, Bihar and Jharkhand for health, job and education.
