*Brahmapuri, Chanda, Akola sizzle in summer heat
Mercury has jumped to 45.0 degrees C from 42.5 degrees C in Wardha within 24 hours ending on Monday, becoming the hottest place not only in Vidarbha region but also in Maharashtra with Brahmapuri closely following it by registering the temperature of 44.9 degrees C. Nagpur has recorded the temperature of 43.6 degrees C, over one degree C in 24 hours ending on Monday.
Similarly, Chandrapur and Akola have recorded the temperatures of 44.6 degrees C and 44.0 degrees C today with people sizzling in the scorching heat. Buldana registered the lowest temperature of 41.0 degrees C when all other cities in Vidarbha crossed over to 42 degrees C. Following are the temperature figures in C in the remaining places on Monday: Yavatmal – 43.5, Gondia – 43.4, Amravati – 42.6, Washim – 42.5 and Gadchiroli – 42.0.
