Mercury has shot up all over Vidarbha region on Wednesday, making the citizens bear the brunt of scorching summer heat. The maximum temperature in Nagpur has jumped from 43.0 degrees C to 44.8 degrees C within 24 hours.
Brahmapuri was the hottest place by registering 45.1 degrees C from yesterday’s 44.7 degrees C. Wardha, where the temperature was 44.4 degrees C yesterday, has touched 45 degrees C on Wednesday. Akola, Chandrapur and Yavatmal are also closely following the temperature by registering 44.8 degrees C, 44.6 degrees C and 44.2 degrees C respectively, making the citizens sizzle in the summer heat.
The temperature figures recorded in C at other places are: Buldana – 41.8, Gadchiroli – 42.6, Gondia – 43.8, Washim – 43.5 while Amravati temperature not available till filing report.
