Shri Hari Prasad Joshi, CGM (Mouda) inaugurated the Medical Mobile Unit (MMU) on 14 May 2022 in the presence of Mrs Vineeta Joshi, President, Samruddhi Ladies Club. This mobile van shall provide 650 days of antenatal/prenatal and postnatal preventive healthcare to expectant and new motherland newborn babies and infants. This van will take rounds in project affected villages of NTPC Mouda, six days a week and will consist of 1 doctor, 1 nurse and two paramedical staff. Under this initiative, free medicines and free diagnosis will also be provided for early detection of any possible diseases. This step taken by NTPC Mouda shall aim at effectively reducing the Maternal Mortality Ratio, Neo-Natal Mortality Ratioand Infant Mortality Ratio in project affected villages.
On the occasion, senior officials of Mouda and COE, HOHR, Block Health Officer, Block Education Officer and members of Samruddhi Ladies Club were also present.
