Gondwana University too follows RTMNU in MCQ pattern exams

The Gondwana University, Gadchiroli has followed the pattern of examinations announced y Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University.

On Tuesday Dr Anil Chitade, Director, Board of Examinations and Evaluation announced that the examinations will be conducted in off-line mode MCQ, OMR (Multiple Choice Question, Optical Mark Recognition) pattern.

The examinations will begin on June 10.

Maharashtra Minister for Higher and Technical Education Uday Samant had stated that the universities are free to decide the mode of examinations. However, the pattern should be uniform in all the universities. Off-line mode was accepted by all the universities. RTMNU, however, derived a new formula by conducting the examinations in off-line mode, but with MCQ pattern.

Chancellor Bhagatsingh Koshyari and Education Minister Uday Samant were informed about the way RTMNU authorities have worked out. They have stated MCQ method in off-line examinations as discrimination against those who are writing descriptive theory papers.

Gondwana University issued a notification on Tuesday stating that the examinations will be conducted in MCQ, OMR pattern. The time tables will be announced soon on the official website of the University, says the notification.
