The Zero Shadow Day falls in Nagpur on May 26 as well as in Kamptee and Kalmeshwar from 12.10 pm to 12.11 pm where there will be no shadow of the object.
Raman Science Centre & Planetarium has organised a programme on Thursday on popular science lecture at 11.30 am and actual observance of Zero Shadow Day at 12 noon at the Innovation Centre, Opp Gandhisagar here to mark the day.
The event occurs twice-a-year when the sun crosses the local Meridian or is directly overhead of a certain latitude. For a brief moment, the sun rays will fall exactly vertical to the objects at the ground, causing no to very little shadow.
Similarly, people from Mauda, Ramtek, Katol, Parseoni, and Saoner will experience no shadow event on May 27 between 12.09 pm and 12.13 pm while the event falls in Narkhed on May 28.
