With the construction work going on at full speed, the 75-km long Amravati to Akola highway in Maharashtra is going to be built in a record time.
Construction work on the highway started on Friday, June 3, and is expected to be complete by June 7.
The highway, from Amravati’s Loni village to Mana village of Akola, will be built night and day and is expected to be completed in 108 hours. If the experiment is successful, it will be entered in the Guinness Book of World Records.
A team from the Guinness Book is present at the site and is documenting the construction work of the road.
Machines with modern techniques and bituminous concrete are being used for the construction and about 800 to 1,000 workers are involved in the work. Rajpath Infracon is determined to complete the work despite any crisis.

The construction company has a well-equipped team of Quality Control Engineers and Safety Officers who work continuously for quality control. A well-equipped laboratory has also been established for quality control. The quality is maintained by continuously monitoring the materials used and the work being done through this laboratory.
The team has done meticulous planning to set a world record. Separate squads have been formed for each part. They have a team of project managers, highway engineers, quality engineers, surveyors, safety engineers and other employees. A management think tank and war room have been built at Mana Camp on the highway stretch.
The team includes 728 people and has four hot mix plants, four-wheel loaders, one paver, one mobile feeder, six tandem rollers, two pneumatic tire rollers and other machinery. To keep the machinery work free from defects, five engineers and five other executives of Tata Motors have been posted at the site. The team is continuously monitoring the equipment.
