The scorching heat has claimed four lives in Nagpur in past three days as the temperature had remained above 45 degrees Celsius.
The heat had been raging in Vidarbha as the met department had issued heat wave warning. Therefore, the mercury in Nagpur was also rising thus increasing the problems for the citizens as many suffered with sun stroke.
Now reports are that due to the rise in maximum temperature in Nagpur four people died due to heat wave.
The four people were found unconscious on the road and were pronounced dead at the hospital. Therefore, an atmosphere of fear has spread all over Nagpur. The administration has been repeatedly appealing citizens to take care special care during the heat wave and avoid going out in day time.
On Wednesday Nagpur registered maximum day temperature at 44.4 degrees C.
Brahmapuri was the hottest place in Vidarbha regional today by registering 46.2 degrees C, followed by Gondia – 45.6, Chandrapur – 45.2 and Wardha – 45.0. Yesterday, Chandrapur and Gondia were hottest in the region by recording 45.8 each while Brahmapuri was at 45.4.
On Thursday the met department has issued a thunderstorm along with lighting warning for Nagpur and other parts of Vidarbha till June 13. This will provide some relief to the citizens as days temperature will be down.
