NTPC Mouda concluded the one-month-long Girl Empowerment Mission by organising a ceremony on 11 June 2022 in the august presence of Collector and District Magistrate R Vimala.
Collector Vimala appreciated NTPC for starting a unique initiative like Girl Empowerment Mission and emphasised on the importance of education in the lives of girl children for a bright future.
The aim of this program is to focus on the holistic development of a girl child and making her self-dependent and a well-informed citizen of the society.
This one-month residential program focused on basics of Maths, Science, English etc along with giving trainings for self-defence, yoga, dance, music, drama and so on.
On this occasion, A K Manohar, Head of Project, while addressing the gathering encouraged the girls and wished them a bright future.
A cultural program was also presented by the children in the program. On coming to NTPC Mouda, these girls got a chance to hone their skills for the first time, which increased their confidence and a positive change could also be seen in their personality. On this occasion, Smt. A V Shanti, President Samrudhi Mahila Samiti distributed books as a memento to the children along with the members of the committee.
On the occasion, District administration officials, NTPC employees, their family members, Samruddhi Mahila Samiti, Central Industrial Security Force personnel were also present.
