A tripartite MoU has been signed among Pench Tiger Conservation Foundation, ICICI Foundation and Pench Tiger Reserve (PTR), Maharashtra part for undertaking skill development, sustainable livelihood initiatives, mitigating man-animal conflict, eco-tourism and other development projects in the park.
The management of PTR organised an interaction session with corporate bodies on Monday at Sillari that received an overwhelming response from the corporate bodies as more than 25 representatives of the bodies participated in it. Now, it has joined hands with ICICI Foundation for which environment and livelihoods leading to inclusive growth have been the core areas. Getting contribution from corporate bodies through their CSR funds is one of the goals of the reserve.
To achieve this, the MoU was signed by Anuj Agarwal, Chief Operating Officer, ICICI Foundation, Sreelakshmi A, Executive Director, Pench Tiger Conservation Foundation, and Prabhu Nath Shukla, Deputy Director, PTR. The occasion was graced by Sunil Limaye, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Wildlife). Suhas Nayak, Monica Acharya from ICICI Foundation, Yuvraj S, Conservator of Forest, P B Panchbhai, DFO, Bor Tiger Reserve, and Atul Deokar, Asstt Conservator of Forest, Pench, and others were present on the occasion. The MoU has been signed initially for five years that can be extended further on mutual agreement, informed Shukla.
