The Smart City will install 100 e-toilets for men and women in 50 different locations across the city marketplaces. It would also construct multi-level parking structures at Anaj Bazar Itwari, Gokulpeth Market, Gandhisagar Lake, and Sitabuldi. This information was shared at a meeting of Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City’s advisory board, Development Corporation Limited on Wednesday.
The meeting was presided over by municipal commissioner and administrator Radhakrishnan B, and the chief executive officer Smart City Chinmay Gotmare, member of Smart city Consultant Board and secretary of Vidarbha Tax Association Association Tijendar Singh Renu, Kaustav Chatterjee of Green Vigil Foundation, Ansuya Kala Chhabrani of Civil Lines Resident Association, Leena Budhe of Centre for Sustainable Development, dean of infra department of VNIT Prof Prashant Daigavhane, company secretary of Smart city Bhanupriya Thakur and other.
Chinmay Gotmare gave information on behalf of Smart City about development works in Pen City and ABD areas. There will be 100 units of e-toilets in city markets and four level parking at four locations like merry go round. More than 500 two-wheelers and four-wheelers can be parked at these places. The directors gave suggestions in the meeting. PRO of Smart City Manish Soni conducted the proceedings and proposed a vote of thanks.
The board of directors has decided to procure 40 MIDI e-buses for eco-friendly transport systems. This small midi bus is going to be air conditioned. Also, bicycle stands will be set up at 75 different places in the city.
