Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) will launch a special campaign from July 25 to 31 to provide information on remarkable works done by it.
Addressing a press conference in her chamber here, Vimla R, Collector, said on Monday that during the campaign providing information about good works done during last 8 years in power and non-conventional energy sectors, felicitations to beneficiaries in different schemes, interaction, challenges in power sector and planning till 2047 etc would be held in Nagpur urban and rural areas. Nagpur City Zone will organise programmes at Deekshabhoomi while Nagpur Rural Zone will hold programmes at Wadoda village.
Documentary on various schemes of the Central and State Power Departments would be screened in presence of people’s representatives. Street plays, exhibitions, information through posters and cultural event would also be organised, she pointed out.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also interact with beneficiaries from selected districts on July 30, including Wardha, Gadchiroli, Kolhapur, Nasik and Nandurbar. For the campaign, Superintending Engineer will work as a Nodal Officer for discharging the responsibilities while the Regional Director and Chief Engineer will be the co-ordinating officers, Vimla pointed out.
Dilip Dodke, Chief Engineer, Rajesh Ranjan, Joint Director, Central Power Research Institute, and Shivraj Padole, Nodal Officer, were present at the press conference.
