Over 1.12 lakh citizens have taken vaccination against covid-19 during past two weeks, under a campaign being launched in the city upto August 15. The doctors and medical staff members administered two doses and booster dose to them from July 15 to 31 and received encouraging response.
Nagpur Municipal Corporation has also increased the number of vaccination centres for this special campaign launched to mark Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsava. As per the directives by the government, it also launched ‘Har Ghar Dastak’ drive to provide free booster doses to youths above 18 years of age. Radhakrishnan B, Municipal Commissioner and Administrator, NMC, has appealed to the people not taken doses to come forward for vaccination in view of possible danger of corornavirus pandemic. Nagpur stands at third rank all over Maharashtra as far pas vaccination is concerned.
