The youths having completed 18 years of age on October 1, 2022 can register their names in the voters’ lists. The officers concerned can now undertake works like changing names in the constituencies, deleting names in the lists and correcting information in the lists.
Interested persons should visit website – www.nvsp.in or visit Voters Registering Officers, Assistant officers in their offices and register names and make necessary changes offline. Forms 6, 7 and 8 are made available in the offices as per requirements.
The applications for making claims or objections would be accepted in the election offices from November 9, to December 8, 2022. A special drive will also be taken on two Saturdays and two Sundays falling in between this period while the claims/objections would be sorted out on December 26 while the final voters’ lists will be published on January 5, 2023.
R Vimla, District Collector and Returning Officer, has appealed to the voters to take benefit of the new programme in large numbers.
