Nagpur Division of Central Railway is making significant strides in improving rural connectivity and public safety through the construction of Limited Height Subways (LHS) at various locations. These subways are crucial for eliminating manned and unmanned level crossings, preventing trespassing, and ensuring uninterrupted movement for villagers and farmers.
At LHS-23, Morshi Dist Amravati connecting Ridhpur to Daberi and Bellora, box pushing has been completed. LHS at Utkhed,Morshi Dist Amravati (Km 722/100-200), a known trespassing spot, is nearing completion and will be opened shortly. LHS-40,Morshi, Amravati linking Maywadi village to Dapori and Pala, has been successfully commissioned and the level crossing closed, improving safety.
LHS-46,Warud, Amravati connecting Umerkhed to farmlands, is in its final stages and will be opened to traffic soon. At LHS-49,Warud, Amravati intended for light vehicles in lieu of a sanctioned Road Over Bridge (ROB), box pushing is completed and road work is underway. This LHS, connecting Jarud to Loni and farms, is expected to be commissioned by December 2025.
Box pushing for LHS-50 Warud, Amravati (Shahapur to farms) is completed; remaining work will resume post-monsoon with a target date of March 31, 2026. LHS-55 (Pusala to Surli) and LHS-56 Warud, Amravati (Pusala to Wathoda) are in the road work stage and targeted for completion by December 2025. At LHS-59 Narkher, Nagpur(Parsodi (Raut) to fields), box casting is done and pushing is in progress, also aiming for December 2025 commissioning.
