The Zulekha College of Commerce, Science and Technology, Shantinagar Nagpur organized a welcome event or orientation program for the first-year students on August 4.
The objective of the orientation program was to make the freshers feel comfortable, adjust to the new environment, inculcate in them the ethos of the Institution, build relations between teachers and students and promote bonding within them. This will help them develop self-awareness, give a broader view of life, and sensitize them towards exploring their academic interests and activities.
Introductory speech was given by Dr. Roshan Khan. Then a brief description of the institute, which included the motto, history and reputation of college along with recent achievements and Rules to abide was given by Asst. Prof. Ashish Ingale and Asst. Prof. Ankita Jais.
Then the students were addressed by Prof Nihar Dahake, HOD of College, who welcomed the students and gave them an introduction regarding the academic disciplines.
Dr. Inderjeet Ramteke, Management member, also welcomed the students and motivated them to excel in their respective fields. He also mentioned that Students should try to attain overall development in English speaking, public speaking, sports, extra-curricular activities in addition to academics.
Program was completed successfully by giving a Vote of thanks to every individual for their constant support and encouragement for proper conduction of the program. Vote of thanks was delivered by Asst. Prof. Priti Hatwar.
