SVK Shishan Sanstha, founded by Gayathri Vatsalya,a trained Clinical Psychologist with 20 years of experience working for the cause, aims to work towards skill trainng and employment of people with Intellectual Disabilities.
SVK Shikshan Sanstha runs Art Therapy a skill training centre which conducts various Free training courses for its Intellectually Challenged benefeciaries & their mothers and help them to create and curate ethnic Hand Block Printed products,Macrame Products,Paper bags,Eco friendly Diyas,Eco Friendly Ganesh Idols etc.
SVK Shikshan Sanstha in association with Simply Desi, an ethnic store with branches all over Maharashtra to promote Make in India products under the guidance of Mrs.Madhubala Saboo, initiated a distinct Exhibition called “Simply Special-Festive Exhibition†which is a unique platform to showcase the abilities of these Specially abled craftsmen to sell their products, help them earn and boost their confidence,self respect and celebrate this festive season with dignity.
Simply Special-The Festive Exhibition started with a grandeur and will be held from 6th August to 6th September,to make this RakshaBandhan, Janmashtami,Ganesh Chaturthi,Parsi New Year,Eid,Onam very special with specially curated trendy & ethnic festive ensembles,jewelry to festive clothing,gifting,Hand bags,Home Décor and more.Â
Dr.Harsha Jharia, CAO,Women’s Education Society(LAD College) was the Chief Guest for the Inauguration. All the talented benefecaries of SVK Shikshan Sanstha performed a Fashion Show.Shaiifali Kohad and Shreyas Khare enthralled the audience with their melodious songs while Mrs.Vilasini Nair, Dr.Dini Menon,Mrs.Bhavna Kothari,Dr.Punita Tiwari,Durgesh Dixit,Lakshmi Mouli wereprominently present.
