Dr Vipin Itankar has taken the charge as District Collector of Nagpur from R Vimla in a small function held in the Collectorate here on Friday at 11 am.
The outgoing Collector Vimla welcomed the new Collector by presenting a floral bouquet while Dr Itankar extended best wishes to her for her appointment as the Commissioner, Child Welfare Department at Pune.
Dr Itankar (IAS 2014) hails from Chandrapur and before joining here he was the Collector at Nanded. He topped in UPSC examination from Maharashtra and ranked at 14th spot in the country. He completed MBBS from Indira Gandhi Government College.
