Eknath Shinde, Chief Minister, and Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister, asked the authorities concerned to expedite remaining works of Nagpur airport and Nagpur metro.
They were addressing a meeting at the war room in Mumbai on Monday in which they instructed the authorities for completing the pending works at earliest possible. Manukumar Srivastava, Chief Secretary, Rajendra Prasad, Managing Director of National Highspeed Rail Corporation, and others were present.
Shinde and Fadnavis mentioned that the cost of Wadsa-Gadchiroli railway track project has now escalated to Rs 1096 crore and wanted that a proposal be submitted for approval. They also asked Forest Department to make efforts to sort out pending issues concerning the department. The State Government has already allotted Rs 30 crore for this railway project.
