This festive season, devotees of Lord Ganesh from the city will not have to pay tolls while driving to Konkan and Goa. To take advantage of the scheme, citizens must obtain a toll pass from the RTO’s Nagpur city office, according to regional transport officer Ravindra Bhuyar.
Due to the Covid pandemic, Lord Ganesh devotees have been confined to their homes for the last two years. With the relaxation of restrictions, many people have planned to visit Konkan for the Ganesh festival.
Many of these devotees prefer to visit these areas by car. Taking this into consideration, the transport department was asked to provide toll passes to devotees travelling to Goa and Konkan from August 27 to September 11.
