The long wait for the opening of a bridge across the Kanhan River has finally come to an end.
The bridge, which was completed almost a year ago, will be inaugurated on Thursday by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari.
The bridge construction began on February 24, 2014, with a 2017 completion date. However, the project took eight years to complete.
Citizens have been using the bridge for morning walks for the past year. The bridge, which cost 250.63 crore, is 415.10 metres long.
