The State Government has sanctioned Rs 3,501 crore for providing financial help to persons affected by floods and heavy rains as well as farmers suffering from crop damages during the last three months. The government has issued a GR in this regard on Friday.
It may be mentioned here that Eknath Shinde, the Chief Minister, had assured to extend increased financial help/compensation to the affected persons and accordingly a favourable decision was also taken in the Cabinet meeting. Now, the Relief & Rehabilitation Department has issued order about this by sanctioning Rs 3, 501 crore from the State Disaster Response fund and State Government funds. The funds have been allotted to the districts affected.
