A comprehensive plan has been made for rehabilitation of villages and baastis affected by heavy rains and floods during the past three months to new places. The Cabinet meeting held on Monday gave approval to the plan.
Eknath Shinde, Chief Minister, presided over the meeting. The government compensates the losses caused by heavy rains, flood, landslide, cracks on land and other natural calamities.
However, the meeting sanctioned the plan for making rehabilitation of the affected villages at safer places by providing basic amenities to the people. The government has made certain parameters to establish the needy beneficiaries.
