Volunteers of Green Vigil Foundation and Nagpur Municipal Corporation created awareness among saving of energy among shop keepers, establishments and citizens from Abhyankar Nagar to VNIT gate to mark purnima on Tuesday. They also requested to shut the unwanted lights for one hour during night.
The shop keepers, establishment and citizens responded positively to the appeal made by the volunteers by keeping off their lights. Kaustubh Chatterjee, founder president of foundation, Surbhi Jaiswal, team leader, Mehul Kosurkar, Sheetal Chaudhari, Vishnudeo Yadav, Shriya Joge, Tushar Deshmukh, Paras Jangde, Sakshi Mulekar, Rajendra Rathod, Junior Engineer, NMC Viplab Bhagat, Gajendra Nagpure and others took active part in the programme.
