Now, only 15 days are remaining for getting booster dose against corona free of cost to the youths above 18 years of age with the NMC limits as per directives by the Central and State Governments to mark Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsava.
Radhakrishnan B, Municipal Commissioner and Administrator of NBMC, has appealed to the youths to hurry up for administering the boost dose during this specified period. The Health Department of NMC launched a campaign for 75 days to provide booster dose.
The booster doses are made available at corporation hospitals and government hospitals. Similarly, corbevax dose is also made available at all the centres for the boys and girls in the age group of 12-14 years. The corporation has asked the youths above 18 years of age having completed six months time after taking covishield or covaxin doses can avail the facility of free booster dose and warned about the possible ill-effects of corona that has reduced but danger is lurking. It is important for the youths to take the doses form their health point of view as well as others.
So far, as many as 3,66,015 persons have taken booster dose in the city. The NMC centres are situated in all the ten zones in the city.
