Last week, an unusual incident occurred in Khandwa. Two women were surprised to discover a waiter from the hotel where they were staying sleeping in their room.

Khandwa (M.P.): Two women were allegedly molested in a hotel room in the Madhya Pradesh district of Khandwa. On Sunday night, the accused waiter, Baliram Patil (22), allegedly entered the women’s room through a window. The Bhopal women, who work for a non-governmental organisation, were on an official visit to Khandwa.

The women were fast asleep at the time of the incident. When they awoke in the middle of the night, the accused was sleeping on their bed. The waiter fled as soon as one of the women turned on the lights. This incident occurred in the Civil Line police station area of the city, at Hotel Ranjit.

Following the girls’ complaint, the police summoned the hotel owner and staff. According to reports, the employees were lined up on the hotel’s ground floor, and the women identified the accused. The accused was arrested for molestation and trespassing under Sections 354, 458 of the IPC.
