During the Diwali festival, an anti-social element went berserk and shattered the windows of three cars in Shri Hari Nagar. The incident has caused widespread public panic. A complaint has been filed by the car owners at Ajni police station.
According to the sources, Shailesh Nimje works in a bank and lives in Shri Hari Nagar on Mane Wada Ring Road. He’d parked his car within his home’s fortified compound. Nimje was awakened at 3.45 a.m. on October 28 by the sudden barking of the dogs, but found nothing wrong. Nimje noticed his car’s rear glass was broken when he came out of the house in the morning.
He checked CCTV footage from the cameras installed at his home and saw a man withhis face covered breaking the glass.
Another incident occurred on October 22 in the same area. Cars of Rajesh Muttel war and another resident in the area were also damaged. Few days back, diesel was also stolen from Muttelwar’s car. He has also filed a com plaint in this regard at Ajni police station. Due to these incidents, the residents in the area are living in a state of panic. They have demanded that the Ajni police should take action in these regards and also increase patrolling in the area.
