The Maharashtra Forest Development Corporation will be implementing the original fare for Indian Safari at the Balasaheb Thackeray Gorewada International Zoo. The new fares will go into effect on November 15.
Tourists will now have to pay Rs 300 and Rs 400 per son on weekdays and weekends/public holidays, respectively, for air-conditioned buses.
Along with the convenience fee (payment gateway charges), the canter fee will be Rs 200 and Rs 300 for weekdays and weekends, respectively. The 115-hectare Indian Safari opened on January 26, 2021. The fare was kept at Rs 300 per person on weekdays and 400 on weekends and holidays. However, in order to promote the safari, the administration had implemented concessional rates and the fare.

While restoring the orig inal fare, certain restrictions have been put. If safari tickets are booked by pay ment through debit or credit card, the tourists will have to bear the bank charges. Meanwhile, the concession for the students has not been changed.
There will be 50 per cent concession for school stu dents and 25 per cent con cession for college students on weekdays only. Coaching institutes, old age homes, or phanages, education institu tions and divyangs will also get concessions.
