Rutuja Latke of Balasaheb Uddhav Thakre won the Andheri West bypolls. Her victory was a foregone conclusion, following withdrawal of the BJP candidate.
Rutuja is widow of MLA Ramesh Latke.
She bagged over 45,000 votes, which are far ahead of othe candidates in the fray. They contested the polls as independent candidates, which compelled the elections.
