The National Integrated Maharashtra Association (NIMA) Nagpur Unit has honoured Dr Gurumukh Mamtani with Dhanwantrai Samman – 2022 for his exemplary work in promoting Ayurved, the ancient Indian Health Science.
Dr Mamtani is practicing Ayurved and Panchakarma for t6he last 32 years and has been propagating the health science through his quarterly magazine ‘Swasthya Vatika’.
Dr Mamtani received the award at the hands of renowned medical practitioner and Pro-Chancellor of Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences Dr Vedprakash Mishra; Dr Deepak Khirwadkar, Dr Devanand Panchbhai, NIMA President Dr Shantidas Lunge.
Dr Mamtani has expressed gratitude towards NIMA for the honour given to him. He stressed the importance of research and documentation in Ayurved. The research can be carried out in scientific development used by the scientists and practitioners in modern medicine. The importance of Ayurved has been proved during the Corona pandemic period.
Dr Mamtani has earlier been honoured with a large number of regional, national and international awards.
