Archaeological Survey of India, Nagpur Circle in collaboration with Central Museum, Nagpur has organized a Photo Exhibition on “Traditional Water Conservation Systems in India” on the occasion of World Heritage Week 2022 at Central Museum, Nagpur from 19th November to 25th November 2022.
The exhibition is inaugurated by the hands of school students. The Chief Guest for the program was Dr. Vipin Itankar, District Collector, Nagpur.
The exhibition shall remain open to the public till November 25, 2022, from 10 am to 5 pm at Central Museum, Nagpur.
The exhibition focuses on different types of traditional water conservation systems developed over a period of time in India.
The exhibition is an effort to sensitize students and people about the ancient heritage related to water management and conservation.
Shri Vijayakumar S Nair, Superintending Archaeologist, Dr. Shilpa Jamgade, Assistant Superintending Archaeologist, and all the staff of ASI along with Smt. Jaya Wahane, Assistant Director, Central Museum, Nagpur with all the staff of Central Museum was present for the program. Students and teachers of schools and colleges and many citizens visited the exhibition.
