Central Railway is learned to have conducted trial runs for a few trains under the guidance of its general manager Anil Kumar Lahoti. Following this, he is learned to have told media persons that trains will soon run at a speed of 130 km/h.
This speed is 10km more than the speed of some of the Rajdhani expresses which run at 120 km/h now.
The first train will run on the Delhi route.
Lahoti had conducted an inspection of railway bridges, and lines in the Itarsi, Betul, Amla, and Parasia areas. During the trial, a train ran at 130 km on the Kalakhar-Ghoradongri railway line.
