Authorities at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) has suspended six students undergoing their internship training for allegedly being involved in ragging a junior student.
A first-year MBBS student is learnt to have sent a video to the Central Anti-Ragging Committee following which the administration suspended the involved interns.
However, the ragging incident apparently happened about six months back. The complainant may have shot the video secretly.
After receiving the video and a complaint from the affected student the central committee directed the GMCH dean Dr.Raj Gajbhiye to take action who immediately issued suspension orders. Students were also asked to vacate the hostel.
The GMCH anti-ragging committee sources say had also registered a complaint about this to the Ajni police station. But so far no FIR has been registered, said an official.
