The Samruddhi Mahamarg Highway from Nagpur to Shirdi’s first phase will be officially opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. To evaluate the Samruddhi Highway, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had a “test ride.”
The convoy has departed from Nagpur for Shirdi with the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister in one vehicle. Devendra Fadnavis, the deputy chief minister, is interestingly the one’steering ‘ the vehicle.
Fadnavis is accompanying him on a trip for the first time since taking office as Chief Minister. The Mercedes waggon car that Devendra Fadnavis and Shinde are riding in costs between 1.5 crore and 2 crore.
On December 11, Prime Minister Modi will open the Samruddhi Expressway in this location, according to Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis. The completed section of the highway from Nagpur to Shirdi will be dedicated by the prime minister, and the final section would be finished in the following six months, according to him.
The ‘Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg’ is a six-lane access-controlled highway. It is the second expressway in the state after Mumbai-Pune Expressway.
Speaking to the media on this occasion, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said, it is a matter of great pride that this highway is being inaugurated by the Prime Minister. Also we are happy to have the privilege of inaugurating the highway.
The 701-km long expressway, built at the cost of Rs 49,250 crore, passes throug f 392 villages spread over 11 districts.
