In the Nagpur @2025 campaign, NMC has announced the free usage of public toilets to all citizens. The ultimate motto for this campaign is to prevent people to urinate in open areas.
Citizens were charged with Rs 2/- at urinals with civic bodies citing rules under Swachh Bharat Mission in the year 2019.
NMC has started constructing the very first smart and modern public toilet right adjacent to Kalamna fire station in Chikli Industrial Area. The tender for another toilet at the smart parking on Central Bazaar Road has been completed.
The civic body is also setting up one smart toilet in each of the six legislative assembly constituencies and 100 e-toilets at 50 locations.
