Representing India, in the under -9 category, Vedika clinched all nine rounds and won the gold medal in Asian School Chess Championship in Sri Lanka.
Post her victory, her rating has been upgraded by 67 points. She even won silver in rapid and blitz tournaments at the same venue.
Vedika is a student of Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir and has been trained under the guidance of Bhushan Shriwas, IM Anup Deshmukh, and IM Anwesh Upadhyay.
